A LEADING SOUTHERN AFRICAN PAPER BAG AND FLEXIBLE PACKAGING MANUFACTURER

Our quality range of Kraft-based sacks, self-opening bags and flexible packaging are designed to meet Customer specific requirements. We provide a cost-effective range of products which will optimize packing and distribution processes, offer effective protection, as well as visible on-shelf appeal across a diverse range of market segments.

We are based 5 kms from Durban Port and serve the entire SADC region.

We are a preferred Supplier to many blue chip customers.

HISTORY

History

Originally a division of Nampak and in 2015 was acquired by Sacks Packaging. Therefore, Sacks Packaging has decades of experience in marketing & manufacturing of packaging. The plant has undergone a total modernisation of production facilities & equipment. We are proudly 100% black South African owned.

Manufacturing Process

Sacks Packaging print complex designs on most substrates. This printed material is then converted either into multilayer paper Sacks, SO (self opening) bags and reel form Flexible packaging. Over the past few years Sacks Packaging refurbished it’s head office, manufacturing facilities as well as recapitalised production lines with latest state of the art 8 colour Printers, Sack lines, SO bag lines, Extrusion laminator and Adhesive laminator.

PREFERENTIAL PROCUREMENT AND ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT

Sacks Packaging exceeds its target on procuring from black owned suppliers and women. We develop budding entrepreneurs by registering their businesses, providing them with working tools and coaching them into successful businesspeople.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

South Africa has almost 40% unemployment. Our small contributions are upskilling, creating jobs & feeding communities. Presently we are building 12 homes, maize farming, container milling, bakery & meals for school kids.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Our caring culture drives an on-site clinic, doctor, and physiologists. HIV and AIDS programs, canteen and the highest safety standards.
